1- Rice stew with lentils
- Ingredients:
1 cup of rice.
1 cup of lentils.
2 medium tomatoes, without skin and without seeds.
1 small black potato
1 small onion.
1 medium carrot.
- Preparation:
Rinse the lentils with cold water. Place them in a bowl with plenty of hot water and let them soak for 3 hours. Discard the soaking water. Boil them and strain them.
Boil the rice.
In a separate saucepan, place a little water and cook the onion, carrot, black potato and tomatoes, previously cut into small cubes.
When the vegetables are tender, add the rice and lentils, cook everything together for another 5 minutes until everything is well cooked.
2- Chickpeas with meat:
- Ingredients:
1/2 cup of minced meat.
1 cup of chickpeas.
2 medium tomatoes, without skin and without seeds.
1 small black potato
1 small onion.
1 medium carrot.
- Preparation:
Rinse the chickpeas with cold water. Place them in a bowl with plenty of hot water and let them soak for 3 hours. Discard the soaking water. Boil them and strain them.
In a separate saucepan, place a little water and cook the onion, carrot, black potato, tomatoes and meat, previously cut into small cubes.
When the vegetables and meat are tender, add the chickpeas, cook everything together for another 5 minutes until everything is well cooked.
