Strengthening the personality of the child 6 years:
Here are some ways to strengthen the character of a school-age child:
- Show your child lots of love, be positive about them, and tell them what makes them special to you.
- Set an example for him by having a positive attitude when facing challenges.
- If you are unhappy with his behavior, tell him, but make it clear that you still love him.
- Let him know that you value effort over perfection. Kids can lose a lot because they avoid trying because they worry about not succeeding.
- Help him set goals and make plans for things he wants to achieve.
- Praise his successes, and don't focus on areas where he didn't do well.
- Get in the habit of asking him about three good things that went well with him on the day.
- Help them discover and develop their talents through clubs and social activities.
- Encourage them to express themselves creatively, through art, drama or music.
- Set aside a special time each day to chat, laugh, and do something fun together.
- Not subjecting the child to punishment and physical violence.
- Not to direct any form of verbal violence to the child, such as threatening, blaming, criticizing, ignoring or yelling at him.
- Avoid constant comparison between the child and his siblings or friends, whether for scolding or advice and guidance.
- Avoid overprotection of the child and interference in all aspects of his life.
- Avoid spoiling the child too much and not allowing him to experience a sense of responsibility.
